Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills, stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its relatively modest price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can choose to have the robot clean up the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology.  Read Far more  can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only drawback is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. You can change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry messes. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the use of a pad. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 has an additional side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture like chairs and table legs. The robot can also reach under furniture with low profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's clever features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.

The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There are many options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These can be set via the app, or via direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. It also has several functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
